Aston Villa is one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in England having won the first Division Championship 7 times along with the FA Cup 7 times.  They are also 1 of the 4 teams to win the European Cup, which they achieved in 1982.It is the fourth most successful team in English history, winning 21 major honours, although most of these were won before the 2 world war, with their recent  winning being in 1996.  The clubs traditional kit colours are claret shirts with blue and white sleeves, white shorts and sky blue socks.  Their traditional crest is of a rampant gold lion on a sky blue background with the clubs motto prepared underneath.  The home venue for the club is Villa Park which is classed as a 4 star rated stadium, making it Midlands’s largest football stadium and the eighth largest in England .
