The NEC is an exhibition centre situated in Solihull near Birmingham, near junction 6 of the M 42 motorway it’s alongside Birmingham International Airport. It has 21 inter-connected halls, set in grounds of 628 acres, making it the seventh largest exhibition centre in Europe.  NEC is the host to large music concerts and is a popular venue for touring Acts, averaging 5 million visitors a year.  From 1978-2004 it was host to the British International Motors how. The NEC also hosts the Clothes Show live each year, with high street fashions and runway shows.  Major sporting events also take place at the venue such as the Horse of the Year Show and the British Show Jumping Championships
